WHAT TEACHING METHOD DOES SLANG USE?
SLANG students learn through the communicative method of teaching. This means that classroom time is spent on using real-life, practical situations to focus on the four key language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Classroom activities reflect real situations, and are structured so students communicate as much as possible.

DO YOU OFFER COURSES FOR STUDENTS OF ALL ITALIAN LEVELS?
Our school has beginner to advanced classes.

HOW LONG DOES A COURSE LAST?
You can study for a minimum of 1 hour with us and the maximum depends only on your visa. In order to meet your needs and wish, we want you to choose yourself the length of your study program. Our staff is always at your disposal to help you define your language learning experience.

WHEN DO COURSES START?
Our courses are offered year-round, though there are some – like our Special theme courses – with a scheduled start date. Contact us to know about availability for the dates you desire.

WILL THERE BE TEACHERS WHO SPEAK MY NATIVE LANGUAGE?
We teach our courses purely in Italian. However, our team speaks different languages and if necessary, we could find a translator for any serious issues.

WILL I HAVE A CHANCE TO PRACTICE MY SPEAKING?
Yes of course! Teachers encourage you to speak in all classes. The school have an Italian-only policy, and outside the school you will speak Italian with locals, new friends, and around town.

DO YOU HAVE PRIVATE TUTORS?
Yes, we offer one-to-one lessons in our school.

HOW LONG IS ONE LESSON?
A standard lesson is 60-minute based.

WHAT TIME WILL I HAVE MY LESSONS?
This depends on the number of students and the period of the year: our school run classes both in the morning and afternoon, in order to offer you always the best solution.

CAN I EXTEND MY COURSE?
Yes, if your visa allows and there is availability at our school, we would be happy for you to stay with us.

HOW DOES SLANG CONFIRM MY ITALIAN LEVEL?
On your first day of class, your skills will be carefully tested during activities and our tutors will confirm your level. If you want an idea of your Italian level right now, you can ask a free skype-talk with our teacher.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO TAKE A LANGUAGE COURSE?
For most of our programs you must be at least 18 years old.

HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE THERE PER CLASS?
On average there are 5-6 students in a class, with a maximum of 10.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE TO MY DESTINATION?
We recommend you arrive on the day before your course starts.

DOES SLANG ACCEPT GROUP BOOKINGS?
Yes, SLANG does take full groups of students for courses. For more information, please e-mail info@slangcenter.com.

WHAT IS SLANG’S ADMISSIONS PROCESS?
Applications can be done either by filling out our online application form online or by contacting us.

SHOULD I BE COVERED BY INSURANCE?
We advise you to have your own valid medical insurance for your entire stay.

HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY PROGRAM?
We ask you to pay 20% in advance by bank transfer and 80% directly at school on arrival.

IS THE AMOUNT QUOTED ON THIS WEBSITE THE FINAL AMOUNT I WILL PAY?
Of course, there are no surprises with SLANG. However, if you would like the full details of your costs, please contact us.

CAN I BOOK THE COURSE DIRECTLY THROUGH THE SCHOOL?
Yes, you can book directly. However, you may lose out on some promotions by booking through the school.

IS SUBSCRIPTION FEE INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE PRICE?
Yes. Package price is the full amount to be paid for the language and cultural activities with SLANG and it also includes subscription fee.

WHAT IF I WANT TO REVIEW OR CANCEL MY RESERVATION?
If you wish to review, adjust or cancel your Reservation with SLANG, please promptly contact us (at least 15 days in advance). In case of late-communication we couldn’t grant you any cancellation, refund or change.

WHAT IF I LOSE A LESSON/ACTIVITY?
In case you are not in condition of taking part of a lesson or a tour, please inform us in advance, and we will try our best to let you have it later.
